AI-powered tourism was the topic of discussion at the 26th Session of the United Nations Tourism General Assembly in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this weekend.
Minister of Trade Kama Maharaj attended the session which marked the 50th anniversary of UN Tourism.
The UN Tourism General Assembly highlighted global efforts to harness innovation for sustainable tourism development.
The Ministry of Trade stated that Trinidad and Tobago’s participation in the meeting “underscores the nation’s commitment to engaging in global dialogue on innovation and sustainably in tourism, while strengthening partnerships that support digital transformation and inclusive growth within the sector.”
The meeting brought together high-level representatives from UN Tourism Member States, including leaders from public and private sectors, academia, and international organizations.
