The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has granted approvals for United States military aircraft to transit through the country’s airports in the coming weeks.
In a recent media release, the Ministry said approval supports the logistical needs of routine personnel rotations and supply replenishment.
The collaboration is part of ongoing efforts to enhance regional security and stability, with continued cooperation between T&T and the US in areas like joint military training and narcotics interdiction.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar said this move reaffirms the Government’s commitment to cooperation and collaboration with the US in the pursuit of safety and security for Trinidad and Tobago and the wider region.
