U.S. President Donald Trump says he is “strongly considering” withdrawing the United States from NATO.
In an interview with The Telegraph, Trump described the alliance as a “paper tiger” and suggested it may not be worth continued U.S. support, especially in light of ongoing Middle East tensions.
He also criticised the United Kingdom’s military strength, claiming its naval capabilities are lacking.
Trump’s comments are already drawing concern among international allies, as questions grow over the future of the decades-old defence partnership.
