Minister of Trade, Investment and Tourism Satyakama Maharaj met with Jamaican High Commissioner Natalie Campbell-Rodriques to strengthen the longstanding partnership between the two CARICOM nations.

Trade between the islands is currently valued at over TT$1.1 billion, and discussions focused on expanding private-sector partnerships and cross-border investment to drive those numbers higher.

Officials also explored future opportunities in the “orange economy,” including ICT, healthcare, and the creative industries such as music, film, and fashion.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to regional integration, aiming for a more unified and competitive Caribbean economy.
