A Tobago man has been detained in connection with yesterday’s jet-ski fatality at Pigeon Point Heritage Park.
The incident, which claimed the life of 7-year-old Angelica Jogie of Barrackpore, also left her father hospitalized.
According to the T&T Express, the suspect, of Canaan Feeder Road in Tobago, was taken into custody this morning by officers of the Tobago Task Force.
Speaking at a media conference last night, THA Chief Secretary Farley Augustine called on the jet-ski operator, who fled the scene after the incident, to surrender to police.
He also confirmed that Buccoo Marine Park, which includes Pigeon Point Heritage Park, would remain closed today, to facilitate ongoing investigations.
