The Tobago House of Assembly’s Division of Food Security has announced a revision in egg prices at government farms.
Effective March 2, 2026, the cost of a dozen eggs will increase from seven dollars to fifteen dollars.
The Division noted that egg prices have remained unchanged since 2005, despite rising production costs for feed and other essential farm inputs.
Officials say the adjustment is necessary to reflect current market conditions while continuing to support local food production and long-term sustainability.
