The Carapichaima West Secondary School closed early for the Easter holidays, following a fire.
The blaze was reported around 1:50pm yesterday, in a room on the top floor of the Form 5 block.
At the time, there were 42 teachers and 103 students, all of whom were evacuated safely, with no injuries reported.
The school was due to close on Friday for the end of the academic term, but is now closed with immediate effect.
The Education Ministry says assessments are being done, with the aim of reopening the school at the start of the new academic term on April 13th.
It is also assisting the Fire Service and TTPS with their investigations into the fire.
According to the Ministry, Form 5 students had successfully completed their CSEC mock exams prior to the incident.
