Finance Minister Davendranath Tancoo has sharply criticized Opposition MP Colm Imbert, accusing him of trying to damage Trinidad and Tobago’s international reputation.
Tancoo was responding to comments made by Imbert at a PNM news conference, dismissing them as “hateful” and “unpatriotic.”
Speaking to the Trinidad Express, he defended the credibility of the International Monetary Fund, saying its findings are grounded in data and analysis.
The Minister also rejected claims that Government lacks a plan to diversify the economy.
