A 21-year-old Laventille man was held following an accident in Port of Spain.
Around 1:40pm on Saturday, officers on duty at the corner of Gordon and Frederick Streets were alerted to a road traffic accident at the corner of New and Henry Streets.
While approaching the scene, they saw two men running from one of the vehicles involved in the accident.
The officers pursued the suspects on foot, and with the assistance of officers from the Port of Spain Task Force, one was held.
Investigations subsequently revealed that the vehicle, a white AD wagon, had been reported stolen on April 2nd 2026.
