A foreign national from Suriname has been arrested following a ketamine seizure in Arouca.
Police say officers of the Port of Spain Division acted on intelligence during a targeted anti-narcotics exercise on Friday morning at a hotel along the Eastern Main Road.
Around 10:40 a.m., officers searched a blue suitcase and allegedly found three plastic bags containing suspected ketamine hidden inside a neck pillow.
The suspect was taken to the Besson Street Police Station. The drugs will undergo forensic testing as investigations continue.
