Super Typhoon Ragasa has been named the most powerful storm in the world so far this year, as it continued to affect countries in East and Southeast Asia.
A super typhoon is the equivalent to a Category 5 hurricane.
Forecasters reported it has been packing maximum sustained winds of 185kmph and gusts up to 220kmph.
It ravaged through the Phillipines earlier today, where three deaths have been reported.
Hong Kong has upgraded its typhoon warning to eight, just two levels below the maximum and China has evacuated hundreds of thousands of people and ordered at least 10 cities to close schools and businesses.
