Heartbreak for the West Indies in New Zealand this morning, as rain washed out the fourth T20, denying the regional team a chance at a series win.

Only 6.3 overs were able to be bowled by the Kiwis before the showers came and interrupted the entire playing time. Amir Jangoo was not out on 12 and was accompanied by captain Shai Hope (3*).

The Kiwis, leading the series two games to one, are now set to claim the trophy with a win in Thursday’s final match. A victory for the West Indies, however, would level the series.

The West Indies won the first game, but lost two in a row after that — putting the hosts in charge.

Following the T20s, both teams will face off in three One Day Internationals and three Test matches, with the tour scheduled to wrap up just days before Christmas.
