Condé Riley

Cricket West Indies is paying tribute to Condé Riley, who has stepped down as President of the Barbados Cricket Association after nearly 20 years as a Director of the regional body.

Riley is being remembered for his dedication, generosity, and personal sacrifices to support young players, often funding them from his own pocket. “To speak of Condé’scontribution is to speak of a man who gave not only his time and his wisdom, but also his unwavering belief in what cricket represents for our people. His service was never about personal advancement. It was about protecting something greater, a legacy of pride, discipline, and opportunity for generations to come.”

CWI President Dr. Kishore Shallow says Riley’s tenure was marked by integrity, compassion, and commitment, and while they sometimes differed in opinion, they shared a vision for West Indies cricket. “As he steps away from formal leadership, we do not simply mark the end of a term. We honour a legacy. We give thanks for a chapter written with integrity, compassion, and commitment.”

He was honoured during last year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Barbados for his outstanding contribution to the game.
