Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Phillip Watts has welcomed national freediver Victoria Deonarine during a courtesy visit to the Ministry’s head office.
Deonarine holds multiple national freediving records for Trinidad and Tobago, including a five-minute static breath-hold.
She highlighted the need for greater recognition and structured development for the sport.
Minister Watts praised her achievements and pledged the Ministry’s support as she prepares for international competitions in 2026.
