Trinidad and Tobago is celebrating a milestone in athlete leadership.
Special Olympics Trinidad and Tobago says the country was represented at the inaugural Special Olympics North America Athlete Congress held in Michigan last month.
National powerlifter Drexel Joseph and mentor Kenrick Baksh Junior took part in the historic event, which brought together athlete leaders from across North America and the Caribbean.
The Congress focused on leadership training, advocacy, and personal development to strengthen athletes’ impact within their communities.
