Six people have been killed in the latest targeted strikes on narcotics-smuggling vessels in the Eastern Pacific.
In a post via X, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed the two strikes, authorized by President Trump, targeted suspected vessels linked to Designated Terrorist Organizations.
He added that the vessels were carrying illicit narcotics along a known trafficking route in international waters.
According to AP News, the two latest strikes bring the total to 19 attacks and at least 75 deaths since the Trump administration began its campaign against drug trafficking in South American waters.
