Family members, friends, colleagues as well as residents of Siparia and elsewhere gathered today to bid pay their final respects to Local Government Councillor Romona Victor.
Ms. Victor, along with her husband, were found dead last weekend at their home.
At the ceremony, held at the Irvin Park, Siparia Mayor Doodnath Mayrhoo assured the people of Siparia East/San Francique South that they will be taken care of.
He said the void left will be taken up by himself, as well as Alderman Lalsie.
Other speakers at the ceremony included the late Councillor’s father, as well as Local Government Minister Khadijah Ameen and Opposition MP Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, and others.
