San Fernando East Secondary School remained closed today following an oil leak on the compound yesterday.
A school official confirmed the closure to 103.1FM News but would not say whether there were any health impacts as a result.
In a statement, Heritage Petroleum said the area was secured, emergency protocols activated, after which the line was plugged and clamped.
Up until 8pm yesterday, cleanup operations were continuing, with monitoring equipment in place.
