The man gunned down in Santa Cruz yesterday is 33-year-old Reynold Jeffrey.
Around 7:30am, officers responded to a report of loud explosions at a house on Blazney Road.
Upon arrival, they were directed to a bedroom, where they found Jeffrey lying motionless with apparent gunshot wounds about the body.
He is believed to have been asleep when he was killed.
Two men were also seen running away from the house shortly after the shooting.
