Saint Lucia Football Association president Lyndon Cooper has made history again, securing election as Vice President of Concacaf for the Caribbean.

Cooper, who was elected last year as president of the Caribbean Football Union—the first Saint Lucian to hold that position—returned home Tuesday following the 41st Concacaf Congress in Managua, Nicaragua, where he was elected unopposed.

The Congress brought together leaders from all 41 member associations, along with Concacaf senior officials, to discuss the Confederation’s strategic priorities, approve the 2026 budget, and celebrate 10 years of leadership under Concacaf President and FIFA Vice President Victor Montagliani.

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaching, hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the USA, Montagliani praised member associations for strengthening Concacaf and reaffirmed a commitment to raising football standards across the region.

Cooper’s election marks another milestone for Saint Lucian football and positions him to influence the development of the sport across the Caribbean.
