A ruptured discharge pipeline at the El Socorro Booster Station has led to a water disruption in parts of north west Trinidad.
According to WASA, damage to the 30” transmission main occurred around 9pm yesterday.
A repair team has been on-site since then, however there is currently no timeframe for the completion of repairs and restoration of the supply.
Areas currently affected include El Socorro, Barataria, Aranguez, Morvant, E.M.R Laventille, Laventille Road, East Dry River, Down Town Port-of-Spain, Beetham Gardens, Belmont, St. Ann’s, Woodbrook, Cascade, St. James, Long Circular Road, Dundonald Hill, Cocorite, and Westmoorings.
