National cricket star Nicholas Pooran made a surprise visit to California, Central Trinidad, on Monday for the Youth Hardball Community Cricket Program.
Pooran shared words of encouragement and motivation, calling on the participants to stay dedicated to the sport.
The program, which was launched last week, will engage 600 boys between the ages 11-17 across 19 venues in Trinidad and Tobago.
“The sessions combine hands-on coaching, fun cricket drills, and mentorship from some of the best in the sport, helping participants sharpen their skills while building teamwork and confidence,” the Ministry of Sport stated.
“Ultimately, the Youth Hardball Community Cricket Programme aims to nurture talent, develop character, and inspire the next generation of cricketers right in the heart of our communities.”
