The People’s National Movement has refuted claims by former political leader Dr Keith Rowley that he was not invited to the party’s 70th anniversary celebrations in January.
Dr Rowley made the claim yesterday during a media event.
The PNM responded with a media release, saying the invitation was hand delivered to Dr Rowley’s residence four days before the event.
The party’s leadership added that Dr Rowley’s absence was their loss and that they looked forward to his presence at future events.
According to a Guardian Media report, Dr Rowley has since doubled down on his claim that he was not invited.
