On the occasion of this year’s Ganesh Utsav, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has offered greetings to the Hindu community across T&T and abroad.
Highlighting the festival’s growing national significance, she used the teachings of the elephant-headed God to encourage unity, resilience, and faith, especially during challenging times.
She commended the commitment to environmental care through the biodegradable murti-s used for the daily rituals during the festival.
The festival begins today and will continue with daily worship until September 6th, when the murtis will be immersed in water to signify the end of the festival.
