Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar is urging citizens to stay calm amid speculations of a war in Venezuela.

Speaking with reporters at the Recruitment Drive Center in Couva this afternoon, the Prime Minister dismissed online claims as baseless fear-mongering.

The Prime Minister said that she had no verified information suggesting any threat and urged the public to rely only on credible sources for updates.

Mrs Persad-Bissessar emphasized that spreading unverified claims serves only to raise confusion and alarm.
