Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has arrived in Tobago for her first official visit since taking office in April.
She landed at the A.N.R. Robinson International Airport last night, where she was warmly received by Chief Secretary Farley Augustine and Deputy Chief Secretary Dr. Faith Brebnor.
The visit, made at the Chief Secretary’s invitation, begins today with a Special Sitting of the Tobago House of Assembly Legislature from 2 to 3 p.m.
The Prime Minister and Attorney General will also meet with Tobago officials to discuss greater autonomy and strengthen collaboration between the THA and Central Government.
