Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has arrived in Miami ahead of this weekend’s Shield of the Americas Summit in Doral, Florida.
In a post via X, the Prime Minister said she received a warm welcome upon arriving at Miami International Airport, including a reception from members of the Rangeela Tassa Group.
Mrs Persad-Bissessar added that she looks forward to attending the summit hosted by US President Donald Trump, saying her participation is in the interest of the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
According to a US State Department release, the meeting will bring together regional allies to discuss key issues, including security, foreign interference, organized crime, and illegal migration.
