US politician Nancy Pelosi, the former House Speaker, Rep. announced today that she won’t run for re-election in 2026, marking the end of her decades-long run as an elected official.
In a six-minute video posted online, Pelosi made the announcement, as well as showcased her 38-year tenure and city, San Francisco’s history.
Pelosi shattered Congress’s marble ceiling and defined the Democratic Party during some of the country’s most tumultuous years – from the 2008 financial crisis to the COVID-19 pandemic.
