Parliament will sit on Monday to debate an extension for the ongoing State of Emergency, which was declared on July 18th.

Under Section 10(1) of the Constitution, any extension beyond the initial 15 days requires parliamentary approval.
A simple majority in the House of Representatives is sufficient to extend the SoE for up to three months in the first instance.
