Over $7.5 million in narcotics has been seized at a transit shed in Central Trinidad.
The discovery was made on Friday by officers attached to the Customs’ Preventive branch.
They were alerted to a shipment from Miami, Florida, with further inspection leading to the seizure of 55 packages of a plant-like substance resembling marijuana.
These had been concealed within banquet chair seats and weighed 30.32 kilograms.
The estimated street value was approximately TT$7,570,904.
