OSHA has laid charges against Well Services, Heritage Petroleum and Kenson Production, for breaches in OSH Act that resulted in the death of rig worker Pete Phillip.

According to a T&T Express report, Labour Minister Leroy Baptiste said the matter will be heard in the Industrial Court, with a hearing date set for June 26th 2026.

The charges relate to breaches of multiple sections of the OSH Act following the partial collapse of Rig 110 during drilling activities on December 22, 2024.

On November 12th, Well Services announced that salvage and recovery efforts would be done in two phases, with the recovery of Phillip’s remains scheduled for the second phase.
