The National Petroleum Company is boosting both internal and public safety measures for LPG cylinders following recent reports of incidents involving 20-pound tanks.
NP says it is actively training staff and LPG providers on proper cylinder handling, leak testing, storage, and transport, and continues to enforce strict safety and quality checks before any cylinder is distributed.
Cylinders that fail inspection are immediately removed from circulation. The company also plans to raise public awareness about the safe use of LPG systems at home, including regulators, hoses, hose clips, and appliance connections.
