There are multiple NO FLY ZONES for drones, as authorities tighten safety measures for the Carnival period.
General drone operators are reminded that drones are prohibited in Port of Spain, Chaguaramas, Caroni, Point A Pierre, Point Lisas, Point Fortin, and Galeota.
Drones must not be flown within five kilometres of any airport, within two kilometres of a helipad, above 400 feet, over crowded areas, or over public events.
Exceptions apply only to operators granted special authorization after strict evaluation.
Meanwhile, police will deploy law-enforcement drones nationwide, with heavy coverage in Port of Spain.
The TTPS also warns that unauthorized drone use poses serious risks to public safety and aircraft operations.
