NIHERST announces winner of Teach ME 2025 Competition

Leselli Daniel and Kachet Henry were the big winners at the 2025 Teach ME Teachers’ Virtual Competition.

The Teachers’ competition challenges participants to develop creative, curriculum-aligned digital learning resources that make complex concepts more engaging and accessible for students.

Daniel of Malabar Secondary School won the Secondary Schools prize for “The Moment of a Force,” while Henry of The University School took the Primary Schools award for “Parts of  Flower.

Organizers aid the Programme impacted hundreds of educators and thousands of students nationwide by equipping teachers with the tools, training and digital resources needed to design interactive, inquiry-based lessons aligned with 21st-century learning goals.

The National Institute of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (NIHERST) estimates that since its launch, Teach ME has strengthened classroom innovation, promoted STEM integration, and supported national efforts to modernise education delivery.

 “The Teach ME initiative continues to serve as a national platform for empowering educators to integrate technology, creativity, and problem-solving into everyday classroom practice. Through virtual training, mentorship, and curriculum development support, the programme enables teachers to design lessons that prepare students for future careers in science, technology, and innovation-driven sectors,” said Ms. Julie David, Acting President of NIHERST.

“We congratulate all participants and winners of the 2025 Teach ME Teachers’ Virtual Curriculum Competition for their dedication and creativity in transforming learning across Trinidad and Tobago.”
