The area formerly occupied by the old Chaguanas Health Centre has been earmarked for the Borough’s new transport hub.
Mayor Faaiq Mohammed made the announcement in a social media post.
The mayor says plans are also being considered to relocate vendors currently operating at the site.
Mr Mohammed admits there may be resistance to the move, but maintains that efforts will continue to develop and modernise all aspects of the borough.
