The North Central Regional Health Authority is denying claims of widespread medical supply shortages at the Arima General Hospital and other facilities.

In a statement, it says these “misleading and mischievous” allegations are being made by “anonymous individuals purporting to be staff members”.

The NCRHA believes the claims are being deliberately pushed to subvert proactive measures being implemented by the Board of Directors, CEO, and Executive Management.

It adds that measures to combat the pilfering of hospital supplies have been very successful, to the point where it has “frustrated” dishonesty in the workplace.

It maintains “The indisputable fact is that all forms of supplies are generally available, cost less and last a longer period of time.”
