The MV Blue Wave Harmony has successfully completed its first berthing at the Port of Scarborough, marking a major step in its integration into Trinidad and Tobago’s inter-island sea bridge service.

The roll-on/roll-off vessel arrived in Tobago on Tuesday night, following its initial docking at the Port of Port of Spain last Thursday.

The vessel was seen navigating Scarborough Harbour under floodlights as port officials and technical teams closely monitored the operation.

Its arrival came after several days of regulatory clearances and port trials in Trinidad to ensure full compatibility with local port infrastructure, including ramp systems.

The Blue Wave Harmony, which replaces the MV Cabo Star, has been welcomed by business stakeholders in Tobago, who point to its increased cargo capacity and improved passenger facilities.

The vessel also features upgraded refrigerated storage and system redundancies aimed at reducing mechanical downtime.

The Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago and NIDCO are expected to announce the official sailing schedule shortly.
