MSYA and THA Strengthen Collaboration on Sport and Youth Empowerment in Tobago

Phillip Watts, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, along with senior officials from his Ministry, paid a courtesy visit to Farley Chavez Augustine, Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly, to explore opportunities for enhanced sport development and youth empowerment on the island.

The meeting, hosted by the Division of Youth Empowerment and Sport, focused on expanding sport tourism, creating safe and structured programmes for young people, and aligning resources to support Tobago’s athletes.

Permanent Secretary Penelope Bradshaw‑Niles, Sport Company CEO Jason Williams, and senior THA officials, including Assembly Members Keigon Denoon and Niketa Percy, participated in discussions aimed at finalizing a partnership agreement in the coming weeks to strengthen collaboration on facilities, events, and youth programmes across Tobago.
