West Indies spinner Gudakesh Motie is set to withdraw from the Pakistan Super League, where he had been signed by the Lahore Qalandars.
Motie’s decision comes shortly after returning home from India, where the West Indies squad had been stranded in Kolkata following their exit from the T20 World Cup.
This was due to regional airspace disruptions linked to the West Asia crisis.
According to ESPNcricinfo, Lahore Qalandars are close to signing Sri Lankan all-rounder Dunith Wellalage as a like-for-like replacement.
