Two hikers, who went missing in the Northern Range earlier this week, have been safely rescued by police, supported by the T&T Defence Force and Fire Service.
The pair became lost between Monday and Tuesday after straying off course while trying to reach the aeroplane crash site via Bamboo Cathedral in Macqueripe.
The Air Support Unit deployed drones and thermal imaging to locate them in dense forest and low visibility conditions.
The multi-agnecy team maintained aerial support overnight, guiding ground teams to the hikers’ location.
