The Ministry of the People, Social Development and Family Services is clarifying reports about its financial relationship with the Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society.
In a statement today, the Ministry said there is *currently no active financial relationship* with the Red Cross, citing outstanding compliance issues, including the submission of audited financial statements.
It noted, however, that the organization has since submitted audits for 2019 to 2022 and that once fully compliant, an assessment will be done to determine future funding.
Both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to supporting the nation’s most vulnerable citizens.
