In celebration of World Read Aloud Day, the Ministry of Education invited students to the Reading Corner for an engaging day of story readings across multiple genres.
Dr. Michael Dowlath, Minister of Education, joined by Permanent Secretary Mr. Claudelle Mc Kellar, Acting Permanent Secretary Ms. Simone Williams, other senior officials, and special guests, read a diverse range of books to the visiting students.
The Ministry highlighted the importance of reading aloud in strengthening literacy, building confidence, and fostering a love for books. Students were encouraged to explore new ideas, characters, and worlds through storytelling.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to promoting literacy and creating meaningful opportunities that inspire young people to read, imagine, and grow.
