Police say two suspects have surrendered following Monday’s shooting involving a police officer and a pedestrian in Tunapuna.
Acting on intelligence, officers conducted targeted operations in Fairley Street, Tunapuna Road and surrounding areas.
Around 10:30am yesterday, two men, aged 20 and 22, both of Upper Fairley Street, turned themselves in at the Tunapuna Police Station.
They were cautioned and are assisting investigators.
Then, around 3:00 p.m., officers recovered an AR-15 rifle with a magazine along a drain on Eastman Street, Tunapuna.
The weapon was seized as investigations continue.
