A 44-year-old mechanic has been gunned down in South Oropouche.
Dynesh Sookoo and his fiancée were at his businessplace along Mon Desir Road around 5:14pm yesterday, when he walked outside to meet a customer.
Several loud explosions were heard and Sookoo was found lying at the side of the roadway with gunshot injuries.
He died at the scene.
