WASA says emergency repairs to ruptured discharge pipeline at the El Socorro Booster Station have been completed.

The damage occurred around 9pm yesterday, with a team on site since then to carry out repairs.

Those were completed this afternoon, with the station restarted around 4:30pm today,

WASA adds that it may take up to 24 hours for the supply to normalize in some affected areas.

The disruption affected the water supply to parts of north west Trinidad, including Barataria, downtown Port of Spain and St Ann’s.
