Schools across Trinidad will be dismissed at 11:30am on Thursday, July 3rd, to facilitate the official visit of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to a memo sent to principals by the Chief Education Officer, this will help reduce the volume of traffic on major roadways, including the Churchill Roosevelt, Uriah Butler and Sir Solomon Hochoy highways.
It adds that the decision was made in collaboration with the TTPS and designed to ensure the security of students, staff and the general public during this high level event.
Normal school operations will resume on Friday, July 4th.
