The UWI Seismic Research Centre has reported a light earthquake this afternoon.
The magnitude 3.5 tremor struck at 2:12 pm, at a depth of 63 kilometres.
According to the automatic report, the quake was located northwest of Trinidad — about 98 kilometres from Port of Spain and 122 kilometres from Arima.
It was also recorded 113 kilometres northeast of Carúpano, Venezuela.
