Five female students have been formally charged in connection with an assault outside Holy Faith Convent in Couva.
The incident on June 10th saw the girls attack a 15-year-old Convent student just outside the school’s gate.
The incident left the girl with injuries that required medical attention.
ACP Wayne Mystar told 103.1FM News that all five girls have been charged with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm.
The accused are all from Couva and between 14 and 18 years old.
ACP Mystar also reiterated a zero-tolerance stance on acts of violence, especially those involving school-aged children.
