The MP for La Brea says today is a “sad day” for the community after armored cables were stolen from the Pt. D’or Recreation Ground overnight on February 10th.
The cables were being inspected for reuse as part of a planned refurbishment of the park’s lighting ahead of Carnival 2026.
The MP condemned the theft as a direct attack on local development, calling on residents to speak out against such criminal acts.
The MP is confident the Police Service will bring those responsible to justice.
