US Coast Guard seizes near US$65 million in cocaine during Caribbean Sea bust

The U.S. Coast Guard has seized over five tons of cocaine in the Caribbean Sea.

The 8,700 pounds of drugs, intercepted during multi-agency operations in early September, have a reported value of an estimated US$64.5 million.

According to a USCG release, the latest bust took place 240 miles north of Panama on September 6th.
